November 2022 has been over for almost 2 weeks now, and we’ve already seen the sales data for the UK and North America. Now it’s time to take a look at the whole of Europe. We’ll start things off with the top 20 game sales in Europe for November 2022.

1 God of War Ragnarok (Sony) 2 FIFA 23 (EA) 3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Activision Blizzard) 4 Pokémon Violet (Nintendo)* 5 Pokémon Scarlet (Nintendo)* 6 Sonic Frontiers (Sega) 7 Grand Theft Auto 5 (Rockstar) 8 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (Nintendo)* 9 Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar) 10 Football Manager 2023 (Sega) 11 Nintendo Switch Sports (Nintendo)* 12 The Last of Us: Part 2 (Sony) 13 Horizon: Forbidden West (Sony) 14 NBA 2K23 (2K Games) 15 Gran Turismo 7 (Sony) 16 LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Warner Bros) 17 God of War (Sony) 18 It Takes Two (EA) 19 Splatoon 3* (Nintendo) 20 Spider-Man: Miles Morales

  • Digital data unavailable

As usual, we also have some stats on game hardware sales and industry-wide figures for Europe as well. You can see those details below.

  • 18.1 million video games were sold across Europe during November 2022
  • this is a decline of 17% over November 2021
  • 7.8 million games were downloaded (a drop of nearly 15% year-on-year)
  • 10.4 million were bought physically (a fall of just under 18%)
  • if you combine Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, sales would be slightly less than God of War Ragnarok
  • Nintendo doesn’t include digital sales, so if those were factored in, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet would definitely be #1
  • 56% of sales were for the Violet version with nearly 44% for Scarlet
  • Pokémon Scarlet/Violet sales were 17% bigger than what Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl managed last year
  • Pokémon Scarlet/Violet sales were 23.5% bigger than the debut of Pokémon Sword and Shield
  • across the the Top 20, six games were published by Sony and six by Nintendo
  • 690,000 games consoles were sold in November, a drop of more than 21% from 2021
  • Switch was comfortably the No.1 selling console across Europe
  • Switch sales were more than double PlayStation 5
  • 1.8m accessories were sold, a drop of 11% over November 2021
