The Kiwi Talkz podcast has shared a new video featuring several Retro Studios developers who worked on Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for the GameCube. While Echoes may not have been as beloved as the original Metroid Prime upon its release, the sequel has earned a good amount of love and respect over time.

In this video, various designers, engineers, and others talk about their experiences working on various aspects of Echoes. This includes how Samus’ visor sound effects were created, camera techniques, and even the origin of the Luminoths’ language. It’s a must watch for Metroid Prime fans, as there are some great new details shared.

I liked the sequel. It was different, but had better boss fights and was more difficult, not a bad thing. It's definitely better than MP3.


It would be perfect if it had shorter load times between the dark and light worlds.

I enjoyed Metroid Prime: A Samus to the Past.
Gameplay was improved over the first imo but the Ing were a bit lacklustre in their design and variance.
