Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition has been updated to Version 1.0.2 on Switch. You can see the full patch notes below.

  • Framerate improvements
  • Changes to the growth system for Pip
  • Other minor bug fixes

That is true for a lot of Square's pre PS2 games, but it's still not a great excuse since FFVIII remaster turned out fine after also having lost basically everything for the game. So it just comes back to them not putting in enough time or money into it regardless of excuse.

If anyone wondered why Square couldn't do more with this remaster, apparently they lost a lot of data (namely source codes) since they weren't keen to preserve things back then or just couldn't (like no space to put stuff at).

Anyways about the FPS improvements for the Switch version, you get 60fps in Cross's battles...except the final battle which stays at 30fps.
