Tales of Symphonia Remastered came to Switch recently, and longtime fans were eager to jump into the experience and relive one of their favorite games. Unfortunately, it seems the Switch version of this remaster is inferior to the original in a number of ways.

Since the game’s launch, players have complained of broken transition scenes, long loading times, incorrect menu backgrounds, frame rate issues, lag, and more. Thankfully, Bandai Namco is aware of these complaints and are cooking up some fixes.

While Bandai Namco didn’t share specifics on what will be fixed and when, they did make a statement on the matter in general. You can see that statement below (machine translated).

Apology and Information: Thank you for playing Tales of Symphonia Remastered for the Nintendo Switch. We have confirmed that there are currently problems with this version of the game that is on sale. At present, we are currently investigating on a fix.

Bandai Namco shouldn't have released this lazy effort in the first place. They could have sat on this for a couple of years to work out all the PS3 bugs + the new ones. They could have also used the extra time to work on a bonus to replace the missing Dawn of the New World if they weren't interested in bringing it to newer platforms.
