But wait, there’s more! A Limited Edition release will also be available, costing you 16,800 yen ($130 USD) and containing 9 CDs of over 140 tracks (around 9 hours worth of music). This edition will also include songs from the Expansion Pass Vol. 4. The Limited Edition will release on Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s 1st anniversary on July 29th, 2023.

Both the regular and Limited Editions will feature a new illustration made specifically for the soundtrack by Masatsugo Saito, who was in charge of Xenoblade 3’s character designs. In addition, the Limited Edition will include two 1/3 Scale Mini Replicas of the flutes used when recording the music, one of Noah’s flute and one of Mio’s flute. It will also include a card featuring Masatsugu Saito’s new illustration with printed signatures of the composers on the back side and an 80-page booklet (written in Japanese). If you pre-order now, you will guarantee a copy. Otherwise, it might be challenging to obtain one, especially if you look at the previous soundtracks released for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and how rare some of them are right now.

MonolithSoft has also revealed that they will be releasing Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Original Soundtrack on August 2nd, 2023, priced at 5,000 yen ($38 USD), and it’ll contain 99 songs spread over 5 CDs. The order of the songs matches the order in which the songs appear in the storyline, so fans can experience the music in the same order they first heard it! There is also a bonus reversible jacket for First Press copies, which you can see in the image below.

If you think the announcement ends here, then you could not be more wrong. Alongside all of this, Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box will be released on July 29th, 2023. YES. I was waiting for a Definitive Edition OST.
I already own the XC2 soundtrack but will gladly double dip for the chance to own the Torna OST in physical form.
