The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is now available on the Switch eShop, and those interested can pick up individual titles or the full collection in a $75 bundle. A few weeks back, Square Enix was also offering two physical versions of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection. Hopefully you locked those in when pre-orders opened, as it seems the window for purchase is just about shut.

If you try to get either physical release via the Square Enix Store, you’ll see that orders are completely closed. The page says the Standard and Anniversary Editions are ‘no longer available,’ and there’s no word on a restock at this time. Thankfully, there’s still some other options you can go with through different retailers.

At time of publishing this post, Play-Asia is offering a standard physical copy for $80. This is the Asian release, but it’s a multi-language version, which means it does include an English translation. These will no doubt go quickly, so scoop yours up here while you still can.

Unfortunately Square-Enix put up the preorders for the physical edition at a really bizarre time (like 2AM) and they sold out in a few hours. By the time I found out the next day, it was impossible to get a preorder. I hate limited run stuff like this that doesn't have a preorder window.
