Back when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launched on Wii U and Switch, fans were surprised to see Monolith Soft listed among the credits. The company, which is known for the Xenoblade series, also helps out on other Nintendo games from time to time. The credits of Breath of the Wild revealed that Nintendo felt Monolith Soft’s expertise would be invaluable for Link’s latest adventure, so they brought the studio in on the project.

Fast-forward 6+ years later, and we’re at the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not surprisingly, Monolith Soft has also done some work on this game as well, as confirmed by the company’s official Twitter account.

According to the statement shared by Monolith Soft, their team helped out with “game design, programming, and graphics” on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. We don’t know how many employees from the studio jumped in on the project, but it’s not hard to imagine they were once again an integral part of the game’s development.
