Developer Deck Nine, the studio behind multiple Life is Strange titles, has been hit with a wave of layoffs.

According to Deck Nine, they had to let go of 30 people, but no specific reason was given for the layoffs. In comment to Game Developer, Deck Nine representation said that the “talented people” who were let go “did nothing wrong.” Furthermore, the studio wishes those let go “the very best in their careers and would love to work with them again.”

Deck Nine was involved with Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, Life Is Strange: True Colors and the Life Is Strange Remastered Collection.

I really think they should have took the opportunity they had from their life is strange success and played around with new IPs. The life is strange brand wasn't going to last forever, not everything can be a Super Mario Brothers or Sonic.
