Nintendo has been running with the Switch as their main piece of hardware for over 5 years now. The Wii U never really got off the ground, and was pretty much dead a few years before Switch even arrived. The 3DS hung on much longer, but at this point in time, it’s also a dormant platform.

Well that information is well-known by any gamer, it doesn’t matter one bit to Australian indie developer Jerrel Dulay. In a press release shared today, Dulay announced 7 new projects for the Wii U and 3DS. You can read Dulay’s statement below.

We have announced 7 new titles to launch exclusive on Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. What!? Why!? In response to Nintendo’s recent announcement of the end of eShop sales for Wii U and 3DS, and as a result of significant fan demand, we are bringing 7 final games to these consoles. Most of these titles were games we had in development for the Wii U and 3DS already, but either moved main development to the Switch or cancelled entirely. After some discussion with Nintendo, we organized bringing these titles back to the Wii U and 3DS as a way to celebrate those consoles and the eShop.

The list of Wii U and 3DS games coming from Dulay is as follows…

  • Silver Falls – White Inside Its Umbra (Wii U)
  • Silver Falls – Gaiden (Wii U)
  • Silver Falls – Undertakers (Wii U)
  • Silver Falls – Guardians And Metal Exterminators (3DS)
  • Silver Falls – Ghoul Busters (3DS)
  • Silver Falls – Vicarious Brothers (3DS)
  • Silver Falls – Gaiden Deathly Delusion Destroyers (3DS)

We’ll certainly keep track of all of these games, and let you know when they arrive on their respective platforms.

I love the Silver Fall series but I feel like Jerrel is gonna burn himself out doing this.

Are these games good? How they play? I'm curious about the 3DS ones

If they're good I'll seriously consider buying them for Wii U. I've topped up my account a couple of times in the past couple of weeks and bought a couple of Indie games that had a good sale price.

It would be nice if Nintendo would do a sale for the platform before everything gets boarded up, and before it's not possible to add funds. As a way of saying thank you to the people who stick by them through the tough times. You might as well be waiting for hell to freeze over though.

That's another thing, while the Wii U and 3DS eShops close next March, adding funds won't be possible come the end of August coming, so any sales, realistically should happen before then.

Projects like these are cool, kinda late on the ball but hopefully they are good enough to warrant some sales, that said, no time at all to discount them for sure.
