Pokemon Scarlet/Violet to have 1 GB day-one update

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launch on November 18th, 2022, which means we’re just over a week away from release. If you’re looking to get your Switch in order for launch day, especially if you’re going with a digital purchase, we’ve got some news about a day-one update you’ll want to hear.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will require a day-one update right at launch, and it’s a pretty sizable one. This update, which brings the game up to Version 1.0.1, which need at least 1 GB of space to download. In other words, make some time now to clear out some space so you’re not dealing with the problem on launch day!

For those wondering, the Version 1.0.1 update for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet will allow you to enjoy online play.

With how every pokemon game leaks weeks ahead of it's release recently, I wouldn't be surprised if GameFreak started holding back content to include in patches after day 1...
