Here we go again!
For quite some time now, Nintendo fans have been hoping that Nintendo would bring GBA games to the Switch Online service. There have even been rumors of that happening over the last few years. Today brings us yet another rumor, but this one certainly has quite an air of credibility to it.
Rumor has it that Nintendo’s official Game Boy Advance emulator for Switch has somehow leaked online. That includes files for the emulator itself, games, and more. Those who have dug through the content have even gotten the emulator working, so as you can see, this is much more than your usual ‘ear to the ground’ rumor, as there’s all sorts of evidence to support it.
As you might expect, this emulator supports all the other features that other Switch Online legacy games include: save states, rewind options, and more. Along with that, a list of games was included in the emulator. Please note that we are unsure as to whether these games are coming to the service, or are just being used for test purposes. You can see the list with notes below.
If this emulator has leaked, you’d imagine an official announcement from Nintendo isn’t far off. Also, keep in mind that GBA content coming to Switch would most likely point to Game Boy and GBC games coming as well. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more details.
