Suda51 is one of the most unique and interesting developers in the videogame industry, and he’s more than made a name for himself with outlandish, wacky, stylish, and downright fun titles. The franchise that really put his name on the map is No More Heroes, which he ushered into the gaming space on the Wii all the way back in 2007.

Ever since then, Suda51 has been a staunch supporter of what Nintendo is doing. Suda has put out multiple titles for Nintendo platforms, with plenty of offerings beyond No More Heroes making their way to Nintendo fans. This dedicated support of all things Nintendo should make it no surprise that not only is Suda a Nintendo fan, he plans to keep showing Nintendo platforms some love.

In an interview with VGC, Suda51 heaped praise on Nintendo and the Switch, but more importantly, he officially confirmed plans to work on the Switch’s successor. Suda51 doesn’t know a thing about the platform yet, but he already knows he’s going to create some games for it. You can see Suda’s full statement on the matter below.

Just like everyone else, I have no idea what’s coming up. But I’m really looking forward to seeing what they come up with as both a gamer and as a developer.

The Switch is a really successful and all-around great platform so I’d be hard pressed to try to find parts of it that aren’t “good enough”, and it’s done did great things for indie games in particular. I think the Switch is awesome not only for players of all types but for developers of all types as well, especially indie developers

Even now, I still think it’s an amazing platform. I don’t have anything in particular that I can think of as far as new features I want to see in the next-gen iteration of it are concerned, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what Nintendo does with it. They’ve always done revolutionary stuff for software and the video game industry in general.

I’m super excited for the next console, especially since we’re definitely gonna cook for it.
