On of the many surprises in the latest Nintendo Direct was MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, an enhanced collection of 7 classic MARVEL vs. CAPCOM fighting games. Tons of people were hyped to see this release, and many no doubt want to add this collection to their physical game lineup. Thankfully, Capcom is going to make that possible.

While it was a bit unclear from the reveal, a Capcom PR rep has since confirmed that MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will indeed see a physical release. The details on that physical package and potential options for it have not been shared, so we’ll have to hang tight for a complete breakdown.

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classic will feature enhancements across the collection, including custom match and spectator features, museum, music player, various display filters, one-button special moves and more. As for the games included, here’s a recap:

  • X-MEN CHILDREN OF THE ATOM
  • MARVEL SUPER HEROES
  • X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER
  • MARVEL SUPER HEROES vs. STREET FIGHTER
  • MARVEL vs. CAPCOM CLASH OF SUPER HEROES
  • MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes
  • THE PUNISHER

I would say same here, but I'm no collector: I'm popping that Switch cartridge in.

It's just weird that they choose to bring the Punisher game on the colection, I appreciate, but why they didn't bring the X-Men arcade game? It was much more on "brand" with the other games.

@cestri

Because that game was made by Konami not Capcom.
