The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom was revealed yesterday, and gamers are still reeling from the announcement. This title marks the first time that Zelda herself will be the main protagonist of a Legend of Zelda title, and she’ll be using her smarts (and a bit of magic) to get the job done on her grand adventure.

Of course, Zelda will no doubt need some help on her big outing, and what better way to aid her than with some amiibo support? While Nintendo hasn’t mentioned it in the official trailer or press release, the Japanese site for The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom clearly indicates that amiibo functionality is included.

What we don’t know is just how amiibo will work with The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom. Nintendo is keeping those details under wraps until a later date, so we’ll have to hang tight a bit. With amiibo support confirmed, you also have to wonder if Nintendo might have a new Zelda amiibo in the works. Let’s keep fingers and toes crossed that that’s the case!

When I had seen it during the Nintendo Direct, my first thought was a remake of the outing Wand of Gamelon for the CDi. Sure it's probably not the best game to use for a comparison, but believe the only title if one of the few where Zelda is the main one on the adventure and not Link.
