Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced in February 2019, and many figured the title would have long since released by now. Sadly, 5+ years later and we still don’t know when to expect the game to show up. Many have worried that something must be going wrong behind the scenes, but today brings us a little assurance that all is well.

Team Cherry correspondent and playtester Graig has come out to share a quick statement on the game following disappointment that it wasn’t featured during the latest Nintendo Direct. According to Graig, fans shouldn’t be all that worries, as the game isn’t stuck in development hell. You can see Graig’s comments on the title below.

“Hi guys I literally know they are not in dev hell. Every software dev cycle ever. Sets internal dates, misses them all the time. Literally a normal part of software dev. You just don’t hear about them because they don’t announce them to the public. Again completely normal for every dev cycle. …I agree that [Team Cherry] communication should be better.”

Hopefully Team Cherry themselves come out and share some sort of update on Hollow Knight: Silksong. While the wait is painful, there’s little doubt the patience will pay off in spades once the game releases.

Just checked, at least first search result is that team cherry is literally just 3 people, im not sure how people can expect so few people to bring out games that fast, that said, didnt they say something 2024 last year so i guess its starting to bring some merit.
