After leaks and speculation, Ubisoft confirmed last week that Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition is coming to Switch on June 25th, 2024. This title will also get a physical Switch release courtesy of Limited Run Games, with pre-orders set to open on July 12th, 2024.

Ahead of the game’s digital launch, Ubisoft has shared some other details on the game. Most noteworthy is news of who they partnered with to get the job done, and it’s a company Switch owners are very familiar with.

We now know that Virtuos has done the heavy lifting on Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, which means the revamp has been in some very capable hands. On the Switch, Virtuos was the team responsible for the Switch ports of big-name games like NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition, XCOM, BioShock Remastered and many others. It’s an impressive slate of titles, and there’s no doubt Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will join those ranks.

Along with this info, Ubisoft confirmed that a Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Re-Orchestrated Soundtrack is also in the works. Those who played the game decades ago know how amazing the soundtrack is, so hearing news of a re-orchestration is fantastic. Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn’t share any other details, so we’ll just have to hang tight to learn more.
