Various video game retailers are confirming that the physical release of Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will include all the games on cartridge/disc meaning that no additional download is necessary.

This is a big deal as beloved titles like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 have long been unavailable to play officially thanks to their digital copies being removed from store shelves. With these games now fully preserved on cartridge they’ll be able to be played physically no matter what happens to the digital store fronts.

Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics releases sometime this year, we’ll keep you updated on news of a release date as it develops.

Such a refreshing thing to have Capcom coming in the clutch with a 'forever' copy of these legendary games. Adding rollback netcode for online play is like a love letter to us fighting game fans. I praise the Lord God for this!
