The My Hero Academia anime is hopping into the driver’s seat for a new collaboration with the Asphalt 9: Legends racing game. To celebrate, there are a handful of unique collaboration mechanics to look forward to in the game, including a custom user interface and voice lines from the My Hero Academia English dub. The collaboration is live now and runs until July 17th, 2024.

During the collaboration, players will be able to purchase My Hero Academia-branded cars in the app. Themed races will also be available to everyone, no car purchase necessary.

There will be 19 stages available throughout the event, each rewarding players with decals, emotes and club icons of characters from the series, along with other items. For example, a free Dark Deku decal will be given to participants in Stage 1.

Here’s an overview of some of the content available during the event:

  • Two Animated Decals (Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo)
  • Six Static Decals (Dark Deku, Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Tsuyu Asui, Himiko Toga, Group Decal)
  • Eight Chibi Emotes
  • Two Club Icons

Asphalt Legends Unite’s next ambassador is none other than NASCAR driver and actor Frankie Muniz. In the trailer, Frankie Muniz and other actors demonstrate the diverse ways players can enjoy Asphalt Legends Unite.

Fans of Frankie Muniz can take part in several in-game events, some of which are directly associated with his NASCAR racing schedule. For instance, between August 15 and August 19, players can feel the thrill of racing against Muniz the same weekend he’ll be driving in the Firekeepers Casino 400 at the Michigan International Speedway.

Keep an eye out for special “Race with Muniz” in-game events starting on the following dates:

  • July 24
  • August 1
  • August 15
  • August 23
  • September 5
  • September 19
  • September 27
  • October 4

Asphalt Legends Unite will also feature a special edition of Frankie Muniz’s car, which can be unlocked by either completing several in-game events or via in-game purchase from July 24 through October 7.

Gameloft will also produce limited-edition hats signed by Frankie Muniz that players can win during a special promotion at gamescom 2024 in August.
