A reminder that this game is published (not developed) by Koei-Tecmo... the same Koei-Tecmo known for its fanservice-oriented Ninja Studio.

And as if the "Life and Hometown" wasn't enough, the last game pandered to yuri lovers, too.

Definitely not something that I'd expect from the Nintendo from 1985.

A) This game is developed by GUST and published by Koei-Tecmo

B) Why should Japanese developers and publishers be beholden to the tastes of other regions? They make games for their audience, and obviously the first game did well enough on other platforms to justify revisiting it.

C) Nintendo of Japan is permitting this to be released in the primary region that matters to them.

D) "Life and Hometown" you refer to belongs to the Senran Kagura franchise. That's a game series developed by Tamsoft and published by Marvelous. Why is it relevant here? Do you think all games with female Ninja are by a single company or something?

E) The shoujo-ai and yuri markets support games that support them. What's the issue? Do lesbians make you uncomfortable? Do you need to go to some sanitized corner of the world to hide from all the lewdness and "degeneracy" hurting your feelings?

F) As a western, you would think such because Nintendo of America sanitized anything from coming over here that would deviate from the messaging of that era. That messaging was about how the NES was a family friendly toy. Not a box that allowed artists to express themselves. A toy designed for children, and for people couldn't handle a game title like "Devil World" without wanting to get out a pitchfork.

It's interesting how he merely said who the publisher was and that this wouldn't happen on a Nintendo platform in 1985, and then you go on a full rant and being condescending toward him. I mean, sure, you could read that comment in a bad way, (especially the "As if L&H wasn't enough" part) but whatever happened to benefit of the doubt? I know plenty of people here who don't mean badly, but just had a poor choice of words. Just give them a chance to explain themselves before going on the full offensive and extrapolating things he hasn't even said.

I'll give you point D, though. Even if I don't agree with the tone.

Because of course the swimsuits are DLC, heaven forbid a game launch with all it's finished content included in the damn game.

God I hate you Koei Tecmo.

Yup. They know sex sells. Or in this case, sex sells extra. It's kind of a sleazy tactic, but it sadly works, which is why they do this
