Nintendo trademark update - Mario, Donkey Kong, Koopa, and more

Nintendo has applied to grab the standard character trademarks for the following...

- Super Mario Bros., (English word)
- Donkey Kong (English and Japanese)
- Yoshi (English and Japanese)
- Mario Kart (English and Japanese)
- Mario (English and Japanese)
- Koopa (English and Japanese)
- Super Nintendo World

These trademarks apply to nail art, cosmetics, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, ginseng, infant food, infant drink, decorative magnets, mobile phone straps, mobile phone earphones, electronic appliances and pairs, smartphone, sunglasses, 3D glasses, fans, furniture, blinds, cushions, pillows, mattresses, tapes, ribbons, headwear, clothing buckles, clothing badges, patches, arm bands, transportation), entertainment facilities, provide games through the Internet, provide music, sound, images, images, literature information online, exhibit materials related to games, exhibit art objects, photography, movies, entertainment, theater, music or education and training providing facilities, arranging seats for box offices, renting toys, lending equipment for amusement parks, lending equipment for amusements, fortune-telling and lending of clothes.

A second Koopa trademark application (again in both Japanese and English) has been submitted as well, this time for a clothing label and frozen fruit, curry, stew or soup, ochazuke, sprinkle and legume.
