Finally. ^^ Never played the franchise before, so now I'll finally be able to see if the popularity is in the gameplay, or them bouncyness.

Not saying Half Genie here isn't worth getting and all but I think you will like Pirates curse to start with. Its on Wii U & 3DS as well so you should feel good at home.

Also, why is a limited physical copy now a thing?

Thanks for the tip, I have not kept up that well with the franchise. Does it exist physically for either Wii-U or 3DS? As a collector, I prefer to only buy physical things (since even if I end up not liking it, at least it adds to my game shelves, which is nice). ^^

And well, it does make sense in a way. A limited release means they are basically assured to sell every single copy, which means they won't lose money on it. I just hope it won't be TOO limited.

Shantae and The Pirate's Curse has a physical release for the 3DS and it's digital only on the WiiU. Shantae Half Genie Hero already has a physical release for the WiiU.

I think it has a physical copy for both 3DS and PS4 but not on Wii U sadly. But I'm not sure if you can get lucky to get a physical copy and the game isn't exactly that huge in space so you may as well try it digital.

My issue with a limited release is that this will start to become a trend and the ones who aren't lucky to get a physical copy have to be forced to opt for digital copies instead. Physical has as much of demand as digital if you ask me.

1/2 Genie Hero was fun, have to admit, but is easily the most disappointing entry in the series but with the best visuals. The game is stripped down of every Metroidvania elements, there are only a few level and the story is pretty weak, ignoring all other games. And that‘s what hurts the most, the game is ignoring Pirate‘s Curse which had a promising ending for a good storyline in the next entry. Still a little excited for the Risky Boots DLC though.

Any idea when preorders go live??

Yeah, I’ll double dip to get this retail on Switch. Hm.... double dipping Shantae sounds perverted.
