Here's a weird story for you. An eBay auction for a Super Mario Party game card has reeled in $7,100 on eBay. Well, that's what the winning bid came in at, but who knows if the buyer will actually pay that much.

The seller, who hails from Seattle, Washington, claims that they found the game card in an airport. They even had pictures of the game card, as well as footage of them playing it. The seller also claimed the game card was slightly busted, but still worked nonetheless. For as strange as the whole story was, the gameplay footage certainly made it seem like the auction was legit.

Is it possible a Nintendo employee was traveling with a copy of Super Mario Party and accidentally left it behind at an airport? We've seen countless Switch owners go through the same thing with their games, and even their Switch units themselves. I guess it's plausible a Nintendo employee could have done the same. If that's actually what happened here, you can bet they're sweating bullets now!

Thanks to Kolma for the heads up!
