We don't have any real metrics on just how well the Switch Online service is doing from Nintendo. They might share some of that info at their next financial briefing, which happens at the end of October. Until then, we'll have to dig for info from other sources. For today, one of those sources is Japanese retailer Tsutaya.

Tsutaya has over 1,000 locations in Japan, and they sell all sorts of Nintendo products, including Switch Online prepaid cards.
According to a rep for Tsutaya, the Switch Online prepaid cards have been “selling extremely well” at all of their stores. Not surprisingly, the 12-month option has been the best-selling card.
