GN Version 5.0

ARK: Survival Evolved on Switch is a bit rough, and fans have been asking about updates, patches, and fixes since the game launched. Thankfully Abstraction Games, the team who handled the port for Studio Wildcard, has come forward to discuss their plans for the game. The bad news is, those updates may never see release. Here's what Abstraction Games had to say to NextN during an interview.

- Abstraction is currently working on a number of areas in the game
- the team can improve graphical presentation, loading times, run-time performance and overall feel
- Abstraction said they had no control over when the game launched on Switch
- Abstraction said if they did control when it launched, they would have either held it back, or focused on different areas
- Abstraction constantly reaches out to Studio Wildcard, but haven't heard anything in months
- Abstraction isn't sure they will be able to get funding necessary from Studio Wildcard to actively work on fixes
- Abstraction hasn't given up, and they are trying to find a workaround to get some fixes out there

Well this sees like a bit of a bad situation. Abstraction wants to fix the game and continues to work on areas, but an actual plan to release this content all depends on what Studio Wildcard does. Their radio silence doesn't exactly instill much hope in me.
