ICO Partners' technology monitored press coverage across eight days of E3 2019, and their findings show just how far Nintendo has bounced back from the dark days of the Wii U. The graph above is the most striking, showing how Nintendo went from just 26% of the coverage in 2016, to 82% of coverage in 2019. That is an absolutely major difference, and it's all thanks to the Switch.

The next chart shows the games with the biggest amount of articles shared, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 falls near the middle of the pack. You can also see Witcher 3 at the end of the chart, which no doubt relates to the Switch reveal.

Finally, we have a chart tracking coverage of various platforms when it comes to articles. The Switch absolutely killed it, being talked about in articles more than the reveal of Xbox One or Xbox Scarlett. The real puzzler here to me is the mention of the Wii U. Other than the Wii U missing out on Just Dance 2019 and Luigi's Mansion 3 originally starting development on Wii U, what other reason was there to talk about the platform?
