Retro Studios looking to hire an Art Director for Metroid Prime 4

We've got a long wait for this one

Retro Studios is going full-steam ahead on Metroid Prime 4. The company has just shared a new listing for an Art Director to help lead the way on Metroid Prime 4. This listing just goes to show how long of a wait we could be in for with Metroid Prime 4.

Thanks to KingBroly for the heads up!

Damn I didnt know Retro Studios still made games. Anyway looking forward to MP4 in the year 2032.

I think we can forget about Metroid Prime 4 on Switch. In the initial trailer, it was announced for the Switch. In the delay video with Takahashi, the Switch isn't mentioned at all. If thIs game is very lucky, it might get the dual release treatment at the tail end of the Switch and a launch title for the new console, similar to BOTW.

Not to mention Retro’s other project... you know, the one they’ve been making since DK:TF released like 6 years ago. I love this dev, but their output has been non-existent in quite some time. I wonder if they’re still up to the task of making MP4.

They never had another project. They spent the last 5 years doing the BBQ catering for NOA. Then they took 3 months away from that to port Tropical Freeze to Switch.

Retro Studios forgot that they made video games for a living and are now scrambling for outside help after having wasted 5 years mucking about and posting pictures of barbecue grills on Twitter.

When that spontaneous order comes in from on high over there at NCL, it's hot hot hot. Better get crackin'.

That sounds like the opposite of full-steam ahead. The train's conductor hasn't even boarded! (~_~)

The graphics side of the development is not as hardworking as the gameplay/level design.
Maybe the game is really in advance stage of production.

The graphics side of the previous Metroid Prime games was still really hardworking though. Every single stone in those games were uniquely and painstakingly crafted.

Doing all that without an art director sounds...hard?
