GN Version 5.0

Prolific Twitter user on all things Fire Emblem, Oscar (@theprinceofiris), has been searching for the changes made within Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore. What he found was a mixture of costumes, included DLC and other trinkets. There is a lot to go over, but if you want the full context, we made a Twitter moment post that you can find right here.

The details follow below...

- during sessions, there is now a toggle for 'quick sessions' by pressing Y. Presumably, turning it on or off lets you to adjust the speed of sessions (a chain of attacks between members)
- More button commands show up while exploring than the original
- big takeaway is that TOPIC (the messaging app which the Wii U GamePad's screen was used for) is accessed by pressing the + button now, and you can toggle a mini map to display by pressing the - button
- Aversa cutscene is the version which appeared in the overseas Wii U release, where there are dark clouds obscuring her chest. In the original Japanese Wii U release, there weren't any
- throughout the footage, Tsubasa appears wearing glasses she is never seen with in the original.
- new areas/dungeons to explore are looking likely, a certain backdrop isn't from the original
- Maiko Shimazaki, Barry Goodman, and Tiki will be making their first playable appearance in this version of the game. Originally, they were only supporting characters who were all but playable. Based on the narration, I think they may have their own side stories like everyone else
- during sessions, a bar appears above the name of the attack. In the original, the bar is always solid, but in the footage of Encore, the sides fade into diamonds. It is understood this is because this represents that quick session is turned on
- Mamori has a new outfit in the game based on the Officers Academy student uniform from FE Three Houses
- Japanese TMS♯FE Encore official site includes a screenshot from Tsubasa's "Feel" music video, and suggests the video and her Shiny Feel outfit are based on the original Japanese Wii U release, and not the version updated for the overseas Wii U release
- In TMS♯FE, every song performance has a unique poster, which can be found throughout the game
- for the new song, "She is...", a word on the bottom appears to be "lueur", which is French for "glow" in English (fitting the music video)
- all-new for TMS♯FE Encore, Tiki now has an outfit in which she dons the appearance of her iconic, classic garb
- in the background of this battle involving Tiki, Eleonora appears in her Perfect Maid costume, which was originally exclusive to paid DLC in TMS♯FE for Wii U. This implies that the costume isn't DLC anymore
- screenshot of the new dungeon. Itsuki is wielding the Claiomh Solais, an early game sword. In addition to the cast member levels being 25, it can be inferred this dungeon may be accessed relatively early in the story
