Bayonetta 1 & 2 being removed from the Wii U eShop in North America

The news first came out for Japan, and then was followed by Europe. Now we know the same is happening in North America. As of Sept. 19th, 2019, Bayonetta 1 & 2 will not be available to purchase on the Wii U eShop anymore. Check out a statement from Nintendo below, as provided to USGamer.
As of Sept. 19, the Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 games for the Wii U system will no longer be available for purchase on Nintendo eShop. Both games will still be available for purchase in Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch system.
As with other regions, those who already purchased Bayonetta 1 & 2 digitally on Wii U will still be able to redownload them after Sept. 19th, 2019.
