GN Version 5.0

Shujinkou is a currently in-development action-JRPG that interweaves Japanese language learning with the art, music, story, and tight gameplay that defines the Japanese RPG genre. Currently in development for almost a year for the PC, Mac, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, the team at Rice Games is planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign on October 1st, 2019.

Learn more about the world of Shujinkou, how native and non-native Japanese speakers/players will be able to experience a grand experience, and why Shujinkou may possibly take the JRPG genre to a brand new level in the coming updates and campaign! Please subscribe for new content, including OST videos, new trailers, and more!

We've been following Shujinkou's development for awhile now, and it's certainly aiming to be something unique. There have been pletny of games that aim to teach players new languages, but they're almost always edutainment-style experiences. Shujinkou is taking the action-RPG route, which is definitely brave of the dev team to try. I guess we'll see how the idea pans out once the Kickstarter launches on Oct. 1st, 2019.
