GN Version 5.0

As usual, when a new update for Pokemon GO rolls out, dataminers dive in to see what they can dig up. This time around, something has been found that's causing a bit of concern.

It all starts with an event called "A Colossal Discovery," which is most likely linked to the Mythical Pokemon Regigigas. As the data stands now, this event can only be accessed by using an event ticket, which is a a separate item. That lead players to discover an Event Ticket item on Pokemon Go's App Store that's listed for $7.99.

As you can probably guess, people are worried that Niantic is going to start offering premium experiences that can only be accessed by paying. Let's hope that's not the case, and there will be some other way to get in on these events. Perhaps paying will get you in early, but the event will eventually open up to everyone.
