The Nintendo patent machine has been working overtime lately! We've seen all kinds of unique patents getting registered lately, and today brings us three more. Two of them are tied to Mario Kart, which we'll cover first.

Both of these patents fall into the “Information processing” category, with one aiming to item handling by a user, which includes three items at once, the ‘Fever’ mode, and more. The second patent ties into players spending coins to purchase in-game items like gliders, karts, and more.

The third “information processing” patent looks to improve power consumption when repeatedly receiving packets by wireless communication. The information processing unit includes a receiving unit, a storage unit, and a predetermined processing unit, which utilizes the mode transition in the information processing unit, which allows power consumption to be reduced.
