Pokémon Sword and Shield are selling at a faster pace than 'X & Y' and 'Sun & Moon' in Japan
Pokémon Sw&Sh outpaces the moon!
In just 17 days, Pokémon Sword and Shield have sold an astounding 2,023,043 physical copies in Japan. Comparing the 275,959 copies sold this week to previous Pokémon generations during the same time period (days 11 - 17), we can see that Sword and Shield are outpacing Pokémon X & Y (265.9k) and Pokémon Sun & Moon (225.6k). Game Freak can celebrate another highly successful Pokémon launch.
Sword and Shield are officially the fastest-selling Pokémon titles since Black & White.
