RUMOR: Nintendo ramps up Switch production to try and match demand

A tough road ahead

Nintendo is currently in both a good and bad place. The good side of things is that the Switch is selling like crazy around the world. The bad side is that stock is running low, and the coronavirus has made it tough for Nintendo to manufacture more units to keep up with demand.

The Digitimes is reporting that Nintendo has kicked production into high gear, increasing their orders with with Foxconn and Hosiden by 20% in the past 2 weeks. Obviously there will still be limitations in getting units manufactured, but an overall increase in output will hopefully make a dent in customers that are trying to track down the hardware.

Nintendo was asked for comment on this rumor, but they didn't offer up a response.
