The Bullet: Time of Revenge seems to be an asset flip of Unity Asset Store kit

Well that's a little shady

GN Version 5.0

The Bullet: Time of Revenge came to the Switch recently, and players were quick to notice that there's something a bit off with the game. After a bit of research, it seems that the game isn't actually a game, but a "Full Game Kit" from the Unity Asset Store.

Unity, an engine developers use to build games, has an Asset Store where developers can grab content to put into their own game. Usually developers will grab some kits and assets to flesh out their own projects. This involves completely changing some content, or using a kit as a base and building greatly upon it. With The Bullet: Time of Revenge, that doesn't appear to be the case at all.

The Bullet: Time of Revenge has seen very, very few tweaks in its jump to the Switch. It's actually just a name change for a Unity Asset Store 'Full Game Kit' called Hammer 2: Reloaded. This kit includes all the game's code, assets, art, and audio. All of that kit content is found in The Bullet: Time of Revenge, so in actually, it seems like the biggest tweak to the eShop release was the name change.

While releasing a game like this certainly seems shady as hell, it's not actually against any rules. It's just a surefire way to get the developer a lot of negative attention, and will most likely detract from any interest in their future projects.
