For months now, dataminers have been finding details in the source code for Fortnite that point to much of the in-game map being flooded by water. Now we have the biggest piece of evidence yet, and it comes straight from Epic.

The third season of Fortnite: Chapter 2 was supposed to go live this week, but Epic recently pushed it back. Unfortunately for Epic, it seems someone over at Sony didn't get the message, as a new Playstation background/icon was uploaded to PSN today. You can see what that image looks like above.

The image certainly seems to play into all the flooded map discussion, and also shows that Epic may have teased this event a year back.

Epic released the above short a year ago, and didn't really offer up much info on why they created it. Many saw it as just a fun animation to share with players, but now its taken on a whole new light. There's even a set of palm trees spotted in the animation that look almost exactly like the trees in the above icon. Epic does love to tease things to come, so it's definitely not a stretch to think they were doing just that in the above clip.
