Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann shares praise for Nintendo and Mario games

Game recognize game

The latest episode of Talking Games With Reggie And Harold features an interview with Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog. While much of the podcast features discussion on how Naughty Dog creates games, along with discussion of The Last of Us: Part 2, there's a section in the beginning where Druckmann offers up praise for the Big N..

Druckmann mentions that he actually learned a lot of English from playing NES games back in the day, and he quickly grew very fond of the Super Mario Bros. series. He played through the original title countless times, which is a habit that's stuck with him to this very day, as he admits to playing every mainline Mario game since.

If you want to hear Druckmann talk about his appreciation for Nintendo, you can hear the topic covered in the first 5 minutes of Reggie's podcast right here.

I kinda wonder why this got downvoted. Any ideas? And there are rather few gamers that grew up in the 80s/90s that do not like Super Mario Bros. me thinks =)
