GN Version 5.0

Tetris 99 was an extremely unique take on Tetris, pitting you against 98 other online players as you all battle it out for Tetris supremacy. Earlier today we saw that Nintendo was continuing that idea with Super Mario Bros. 35, which put you up against 34 other players in Super Mario Bros. online action.

Not surprisingly, Nintendo is teaming once again with the Tetris 99 team to bring Super Mario Bros. 35 to life. Nintendo's website confirms that Akira, the team who handled Tetris 99, is the developer for Super Mario Bros. 35 as well. There's no doubt Nintendo is offering insight and help, but Akira appears to be doing the heavy lifting.
