Ubisoft's website for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake mentions a Switch version

I am thoroughly confused

When rumors first popped up for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, we heard that it was coming to Switch. Then another round of insiders said that wasn't the case. Now we have more news that makes the situation even more confusing.

During today's Ubisoft Forward, the company officially revealed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The trailer did not include the Switch logo on it, and the presenter didn't mention it either. The thing is, if you go over to the official website for the game, it mentions a Switch version not once, but twice.

Which side of the story are we supposed to believe? The side of Ubisoft that didn't mention Switch, or the side that does?!

The Switch version will come at a later time. It will not be released at the same time as the other versions, but months later
That's what I think.

One thing is certain, the Switch can totally run the game.
That being said, I'm excited to see the franchise again Smile

Perhaps it's supposed to be saved for a Direct? This wouldn't be the first time for something like that, right? Am I remembering correctly?

I love the original game, but these animations look pretty bad..

I think the page has been updated again because I don't see any mention of Switch.

The Switch will get the original Gamecube version.

I loved the trio of Prince of Persia titles on Gamecube. This doesn't look very impressive for a remake, they've definitely used the Dagger of Time to cut some corners here. The Switch should be able to run this no problem. At times, this looks like it's still on Gamecube.
