The Nintendo DS wasn't exactly a powerhouse when it came to pushing polygons, but plenty of developers toiled away to squeeze what they could out of the platform. That includes Cheryl Platz, who worked on the Nintendo DS adaptation of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

In a series of TikToks, Platz discusses issues with creating the character model for Orlando Bloom. Apparently there was some issue with the way Bloom's chest was designed, and someone along the line wanted things to be more pronounced in order to showcase Bloom's muscular nature. It seems Bloom had to sign off on stuff like this, and he very well may have been the reason there was pushback on the character model.

While we don't know the full story behind-the-scenes, we certainly know enough to enjoy this as a funny game development story. You can hear Platz's full version of the story via the TikToks in this post.
