Nintendo shows how to use Super Nintendo World's Power-Up Bands as amiibo
Dual purpose
As was mentioned the other day, Super Nintendo World's Power-Up Bands can be used as a traditional amiibo as well. The image above shows just how that works, which is pretty much the same as any other amiibo. The Band will act as the base amiibo for the character it represents, so the Band above serves as a standard Mario. That functionality certainly makes the $30+ pricing a bit easier to understand.
