Netflix's upcoming Sonic animated series won't be based on the IDW comic series

We really don't know anything about Netflix's upcoming 3D animated Sonic series, other than its existence. While we wait for more official details from SEGA or Netflix, we do have some info on what the series won't be.

Comic book writer Ian Flynn recently did a Q&A about all things Sonic, and the topic of Netflix's series came up. Flynn outright said that the series is not going to be based on the IDW comic line. It's looking more and more like the series is going to be yet another original take on Sonic.
