The Mii Channel theme from the Wii is one of those timeless Nintendo tunes that people are still enjoying to this day. The song refuses to die, and now composers the world over are breathing new life into it.

It all started with Alex Moukala, a musician who's had music featured in trailers for Avengers: Endgame, decided to add a funky bassline to the Mii Channel theme. You can hear how that came out in the tweet above. It's definitely a catch twist on the tune, and it inspired a bunch of other composers to get in on the fun.

Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes, Celeste composer Lena Raine, Steven Universe composer Jeff Ball, and many others are sharing their takes on Moukala's work on Twitter, and the cover just keeps getting bigger and better. You can check out more takes on the theme here.
