Retail! Retail! Two direct hits!

PQube (London, UK) - September 20th, 2019 - PQube is excited to announce that two more of their recent indie hits are now available physically! The Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the adorable musical platformer Songbird Symphony and retro adventure Aggelos can be found in stores today.

Songbird Symphony is an adorable 2D platformer in pixel art that follows the heartfelt story of Birb, a cheerful little bird on a quest to learn more about his origins. The game combines various rhythm gameplay mechanics: chirp in rhythm to activate platforms and learn new notes as you challenge the animals of the forest in wondrous musical battles. Birb will get access to new areas in the forest as he expands his vocal range.

Songbird Symphony is also available digitally for PC/Steam, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, all available retailers for the physical version can be found here: https://pqube.co.uk/songbird-symphony/

Aggelos is a 16-bit retro-style platformer inspired by classic Japanese adventures like Wonder Boy and its physical version comes with a manual with information about the characters and the items that will find on your quests. You will encounter challenging enemies and learn skills as you complete trials, giving you access to new areas of its metroidvanian world. Combined with dynamic and diverse movement options, Aggelos is a challenging homage to the legendary era of non-linear 16-bit titles!

Aggelos is also available digitally for PC/Steam, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, all available retailers for the physical version can be found here: https://pqube.co.uk/aggelos/

A pair of minor fixes

Aggelos has just gotten an update as of today, and while we don't have full patch notes or the version number, we do have a couple details on some included fixes.

- fixes the monkey glitch
- fixes the visual bug which caused a blur on the game

Aggelos - another round of gameplay

Inspired by non-linear Japanese retro adventures, Aggelos hurls players into the middle of a colossal struggle for survival as beings from another dimension threaten to invade the peaceful Kingdom of Lumen. Bursting with secrets and side-quests, and boasting slick melee combat that any 2D action game would envy, Aggelos is the perfect combination of retro style and modern-day game design.

A new adventure in the style of Wonder Boy

PQube (London, UK) - May 25th, 2019 - PQube, LookAtMyGame and developers Storybird Games and Wonderboy Bobi are excited to release Aggelos for Nintendo Switch today! After a lot of great feedback on the PC/Steam version, it was clear that this adventure is a perfect fit for Nintendo's console. Simply put: Aggelos is a great reminder that the classic metroidvania genre is still a fundament for amazing games in 2019!

Find your own path through the vast, non-linear kingdom and venture through forests, underwater areas, cave systems and ancient temples to uncover magical elements and new skills! Use and combine them creatively to overcome the unique and deadly bosses and advance in the classic hero story.

The dynamic and diverse movement options make Aggelos a challenging homage to the legendary era of Japanese non-linear 16-bit titles and give players the tools for spectacular and creative combos that feel incredibly satisfying to pull off and offers a level of mobility which sets Aggelos apart from other homages to the Sega classics.

To cater even more towards veterans of this genre and further improve replayability, Hard Mode offers a real difference in how players approach the game. They will now face enemies that deal more damage, have greater movement speed, higher attack rate and shoot additional projectiles.

Aggelos is now available for Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam and will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year!

Aggelos - more gameplay

Step through time and discover a mesmerizing new action-RPG that looks like it was plucked straight out of the 16-bit era, but plays like a modern-day marvel!
