Tencent bringing more indie and third-party games to Switch in China, including a few Ubisoft releases

Switch's library in China is starting to grow

The total number of Switch games that have been officially released in China since the console's launch in the region in December 2019 is extraordinarily low. Tencent, the company responsible for helping to bring the system to the Chinese market, has now updated the "future release" section on their official website with some more indie and third-party titles apparently set for an upcoming launch in China.

Only one game on the list, Neon Abyss, has received a scheduled release period, and will be launching on the Nintendo eShop in China sometime in Summer 2020.

Seven total indie games have been added to Tencent's website, alongside three Ubisoft titles (a China exclusive Rabbids party game, Rayman Legends, and Just Dance 2020), and one release from SNK (Samurai Shodown).

Just Dance 2017, 2018, and 2019 have all disappeared from the Switch eShop in North America

Just gone

We don't know why, but Ubisoft seems to have removed multiple Just Dance titles from the Switch eShop. Just Dance 2017, 2018, and 2019 have all vanished without any explanation. Over in Europe, Just Dance 2019 and 2018 are still available, but 2017 is missing. The only game available in both regions is Just Dance 2020.

Ubisoft’s #JustDanceMemories campaign raises £60,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK

Dancing for donations

We’re excited to announce that our partnership with Ubisoft, the creator and publisher of Just Dance, has raised an incredible £60,000 for life-changing dementia research – double the original target!

Alzheimer's Research UK joined forces with Ubisoft to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Just Dance and support our vital work.

People were asked to share an inspiring film on social media, which features Alzheimer's Research UK supporter Lynne, and her mam Anne. The film shows how dance still connects the pair, despite Anne being in the late stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

Ubisoft pledged to donate £1 for every share, retweet or comment on the film and for every use of the campaign’s hashtag #JustDanceMemories.

Thanks to you and the incredible support across social media, Ubisoft doubled its commitment from £30,000 to £60,000.
