Mortal Kombat 11 adds in a new Brutality for Jax that's actually a throwback Fatality

Boot too big

A new Brutality has been discovered for Jax in Mortal Kombat 11. You can see the Brutality in action via the video above, but longtime fans of Mortal Kombat might recognize it as a callback to the earlier days of the franchise.

All the way back in Mortal Kombat 3, Jax had a Fatality where he would grow super huge, and then squash his opponent with his boot. There's no doubt this Brutality is a callback to that. The only issue right now is that players are unsure on how to unlock the Brutality. The best guess puts it as a reward in the upcoming Towers of Time event.

Mortal Kombat 11 concept art shows scrapped designs for The Joker

Which one's your favorite?

The Joker has just made his debut in Mortal Kombat 11, and he comes with a concept art collection. Along with art for the design that made it into the game, the collection also includes some designs that were considered, and then scrapped. There's definitely some inspiration from classic movie versions of the Joker on display here, especially with the second and third options.

WWE Superstar Zelina Vega wears a tribute to Mortal Kombat's Sindel

Another Mortal Kombat tribute from Vega

WWE Superstar Zelina Vega is a huge fan of video games, and she has a special place in her heart for Mortal Kombat. She's cosplayed as Mortal Kombat characters in the past, but tonight she went a step further by paying tribute to a character with her ring gear. As you can see in the image above, Vega put together an outfit that is quite similar to that of Sindel. You can see Vega's full entrance from her Royal Rumble appearance below.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge will be rated R

Not a kid-friendly cartoon

There's certainly plenty to complain about with the original Mortal Kombat movies, but among the top of the heap is the fact that neither film was rated R. How do you do Mortal Kombat justice without all the over-the-top blood and guts? Thankfully the next live-action Mortal Kombat film is fixing that issue, and now we know the animated feature is doing the same.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge may be an animated film, but it's not pulling any punches with content. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon confirmed that the film will have an R rating, and there's no doubt it comes from a bit of the old ultraviolence. Hopefully we get a trailer soon!
