Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII dev has a good laugh at the idea of the game coming to Switch

Game Informer sat down with Treyarch's design director David Vonderhaar for a rapid-fire interview. During the interview, Vonderhaar is asked whether Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII could come to Switch. After a very hearty laugh, Vonderhaar says that he, "just makes the shoes." In other words, it's not Vonderhaar's decision. Still, he finds the idea of the game coming to Switch pretty laughable.

We have reached out to Mr. Vonderhaar for comment/clarification on his statement.

Sledgehammer Games directly says Call of Duty: WWII isn't coming to Switch

Coming from a Reddit AMA with Sledgehammer Games...

Reddit user ThePCGamingNoob: Yes or no? Is Call Of Duty WWII coming to Nintendo Switch?

Sledgehammer Games: No.

I mean, you can't get anymore clear-cut than that. It's a direct answer, nothing wishy-washy about it. I'd say it doesn't get any more definitive than that.

Call of Duty: World War II not coming to Switch, according to dev working on the title

Well, that's as close to as a confirmation as we can get on the matter. There has been a lot of back and forth on the matter in recent weeks, but with a dev actually working on the game chiming in, I think that closes the book on discussion.

Beenox remains quiet on bringing Call of Duty to Switch, does confirm involvement with the franchise

Is Beenox bringing Call of Duty: World War II to Switch? If they are, they can't talk about it just yet. When a Beenox employee was asked about their project and if it involved a Switch release for Call of Duty: World War II, they said they couldn't answer due to NDA. They did confirm that they're involved with the Call of Duty franchise, and left things at that. Thanks to Snorth93 for the heads up!

RUMOR - Could Beenox be working on Call of Duty: WWII for Switch?

Beenox, a company behind multiple titles on Nintendo platforms, is currently posting about Call of Duty on their Twitter account. The thing is, the company doesn't seem to be tied to Call of Duty: WWII, the upcoming Call of Duty game for Xbox One/PS4/PC. Beenox's most recent work includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and the last-gen ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops III. If Beenox is involved in the latest Call of Duty title, it would certainly seem like a Switch outing makes the most sense.

GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Eggbusters EX - Call of Duty: Ghosts

I am usually so pumped for the Olympics, but it's hard to be excited about this year's events when there's so much concern. I hope the events manage to go off without a hitch, although that doesn't seem too likely. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed. See you in a few, short hours!

The lovely, wonderful, unique Austin is back with another installment of Eggbusters. This time he takes a look at a glitch in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and boy does it yield some results. I don't want to ruin the fun, but I will say that there's plenty of it!

You guys and gals better get in on the Eggbusters action while you can. I hear this season is coming to an end quite soon!

Check out the entire series and subscribe to Austin's channel here!

Random Time! - A look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex's still-active online community

Yes, believe it or not, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex is still up for online play. It seems like at most, there are 800 people playing online. I'm just amazed that people are still there and playing! Pretty damn cool to see that. Thanks to RikuKH for the heads up!

Random Time! - Wii owners still playing Call of Duty games online

Here's an odd bit of news for you guys. Did you know that you can still play Call of Duty games for Wii online? The Nintendo Wifi Connection was shut down awhile back, but it turns out that Activision's Call of Duty games hosted their online content on their own servers. Even stranger, those servers are still online. Strangest yet...people are still playing those Call of Duty games online! If you're ever feeling nostalgic, you can fire up your Wii for some Call of Duty online multiplayer action! Thanks to Plsburydoughboy for the heads up!
