Darksiders Genesis - 'Introducing Strife' trailer

One... Two, Three! Strife, the Rider of the White Horse, is both impulsive and witty, true to the motto "Shoot first, ask questions later" or "Two Guns, one Horseman".

He is the one who has blood on his boots on a pretty much constant basis. He fought countless enemies with his two best friends, Mercy and Redemption and the protection of his impenetrable armor. Always by his side is Mayhem, Strife's phantom steed.

GoNintendo Review - Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition (written by NintendoJam)

"Really delivers in its engaging gameplay and thrilling combat."

NintendoJam is the newest member of GoNintendo's team. You may have noticed that he's been taking on some news duties Wednesday mornings, and doing a bang-up job at that. As for today, NintendoJam has put together a review of Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition. Check out his full thoughts on the game below. - RMC

Darksiders 2 is a fun and exhilarating experience in the action-adventure genre that isn't quite to die for, but is certainly worth your time.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition on Nintendo Switch was my introduction to the Darksiders franchise. While I own the first game in the series' trilogy (Darksiders Warmastered) for Switch, it was mainly for collection purposes and I never got around to actually play it. Luckily, this review opportunity arose, allowing me to give the ‘dark’ world of Darksiders the attention it truly deserved.

Darksiders 2 originally released in 2012 for current generation consoles at the time including Wii U. Three years later, in 2015, a definitive edition of the game was released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This version of the game included upgraded graphics, all of the paid DLC from the original base release, and a few other minor improvements. With the recent port of the 'Deathinitive Edition' on Nintendo Switch, Darksiders 2 has been released three different times, and can basically be played on your console of choice. However, purchasing the Switch version provides the unique advantage of being able to take this expansive adventure with you on the go with little to no compromises.

Darksiders II - review

This comes from a NintendoWorldReport review for Darksiders II...

Despite these problems, Darksiders II is an excellent, lovingly crafted game I wholeheartedly recommend, especially if you liked the first. From a production value perspective, it's at the top of its class, and my problems with the game are largely personal preference quibbles. Just like the first, Darksiders II is the Zelda game we never got.
