ENDOFDAYTHOUGHTS 01

Time once again to kick off another work week. Where in the world does the weekend go? I sure hope you all had a great couple of days off. Let's push through another week of school/work so we can enjoy some more relaxation! See you in a few, short hours.

We reported on this awhile back, but I felt it was worth bringing up as an End of Day thought. It's something that a lot of people may experience, and with all the new 3DS owners out there, I wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of it. You don't want to risk getting your 3DS all scratched up just a few weeks after you get it!

For those that don't know, it seems that some 3DS units are not sitting quite right when they're closed. This minor issue can lead to a rather ugly, glaring problem if not dealt with properly. It seems that the bottom screen of the 3DS can end up rubbing against the top screen of the system when shut, ever so slightly. This slight pressure can rub back and forth on the top screen, eventually resulting in a scratch.

If you are a woman/man about town with your 3DS, you're more likely to experience this problem. The more you have your 3DS with you on the go, the bet chance it has of rubbing screens together. If you leave your 3DS on its cradle most of the time you can still have this happen to you, but it should be a bit more avoidable. The more friction the system sees, the more likely a scratch.

JTS has definitely gotten a scratch on his system, and he's one to carry it around with him from place to place. My system actually just started to get a tiny little scuff mark, and it's already driving me nuts. That scratch on the top screen gets bad enough and it could really detract from the 3D visuals. Just be safe and stick a thin cleaning cloth inbetween the screens when you close your system, and all should be fine.

How many of you have come across this problem with your 3DS? Have you been taking preventative measures to avoid it since you first learned of it? I sure hope there aren't too many of you with scratched screens. If so, perhaps it's time for the Big N to formally address this issue.
