A portion of a Fancensus review...
What was once a series in danger of becoming stagnant and forgotten has been given the shake-up it so desperately needed. While you could argue it’s not exactly revolutionising the party game genre, gather four people together and you’ll discover one of the best multiplayer experiences on the Wii yet.

"What was once a series in danger of becoming stagnant and forgotten"
Forgotten? Every Mario Party installment has sold millions. Also with every version they added a lot more new content than other yearly games like Madden and COD.
@TheBitBlock To be honest the game series was becoming totally stagnant and people had definitely moved on. Sure they sold millions but the last one we saw was around three or four years back when the Wii was in it's prime! Also that and previous entries got poor review scores if I recall.
And not that I like to defend the COD series, but to be honest buddy, Mario Party hardly "added a lot more new content than other yearly games like Madden and COD" If anything they add less, recycling the exact same layout with the exact same types of mini games. Button bashers, luck ones etc...
This review seems spot on from what I've played of the game.
