Let's ignore the Super Mario Bros. 4 Wii U boxart, shall we? That's nothing but 100% speculation. As far as that release date, we've been hearing from multiple devs that the Wii U could be out in October/November. Could Nov. 16th end up being the date? Place your best on Zaavi now, as I'm sure multiple other retailers are going to list dates soon.

November sounds like the perfect month for it to release.
Mid November would be perfect for me, and it fits with other rumors that we've seen recently.
Now I can see the future:
A new Super Mario game for WiiU and 3DS (yes, it's the same game for both platforms, with small changes) + full conectivity between the 3DS and the tablet controller.
Mark my words.
Super Mario 4 will probably be the 2D-platforming title announced for 3DS earlier this year. The Wii U-title will probably just be the lame, in mye opinion, Super Mario Bros. Mii.
100% CONFIRMED: Super Mario Bros 4 is for Super Nintendo.
I'd rather have an October release, just so they could quickly restock when it sells out initially to all the fanboys (myself included).

Indeed. I have also heard that they are going to change the 4 in the title to World.
I want Nintendo to take my money, but I'm waiting for them to impress the hell out of me at E3. No impress, no buy. Simple as that.
I gotta say, I really like the sound of "Super Mario Bros 4" launching with a new Nintendo platform.

For once, it probably isn't the Mario game that's going to drive me to this system. It'll be Pikmin 3.
Scratch that, I didn't get a 3DS for Mario either, I got it for Luigi's Mansion 2.
I'm going to guess November 9th in Europe followed by November 11th in North America.
Why are people running with the idea that Super Mario 4 is a real, soon to be announced game? It was just one of many domain names registered by Nintendo in just in case. They've registered plenty of Pokémon domains that never came to fruition as a game.
How do we know Super Mario 4 is Super Mario Bros. 4 exactly? We don't. People are tacking on the "Bros." part.
it's confirmed the new Mario Bros title for Wii U will be based off the demo from E3 2011 (NSMBMii)...
I hope they're still working on an epic new 3D Mario to come out later, I'm not that into the 2D stuff, but I'm curious what they'll come up with at E3!
Except Miyamoto didn't say that was Super Mario 4.

"We JUST announced that game" can imply that it was recently revealed. There was nothing directly saying Super Mario 4 is New Super Mario Bros. Wii U or anything to that nature.
There was an announcement of work on a new 2D Mario game on the 3DS a while back but that was pretty much it.
Another installment of New Super Mario Bros. is very much possible on Wii U or 3DS at this point, but there's also a chance of seeing something different altogether.
Yeah I do think Nintendo Wii U will come out on November 16th because it's a Friday
